A wine reflecting the distinct character of Sicilian whites
Donnafugata Anthilia Sicilia DOC presents a fresh and fruity bouquet on the nose. A straw yellow color with notes of white-fleshed fruits (apple/pear) combined with scents of wildflowers. On the palate we find the evident fruity note again. It finishes with mineral and good persistence.
Fermentation in stainless steel, at a temperature of 14-16°C (57-61° F). Aging in tanks for two months and then at least two months in bottle before release. Still remains one of our favourites of Sicilian whites.
From the limestone character of Sancerre to the green, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc of Marlborough, this style group often shows off cut grass and wet stone. Often associated with coastal regions or limestone based terroir, these wines are characterised with crisp acidity, mineraiity, citrus tones, with a hint of grassiness
