A classic light, Wachau-style Chardonnay without a woody note.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from the Wachau, Austria — a classic light, Wachau-style Chardonnay made without any woody note.
Taste Profile: A medium-bodied wine characterised by complex aromas — fresh nuts, apple, pear and quince on the nose, with fresh almond and white flowers joining on the palate. Aged entirely without wood, giving it a fresh, lively character.
Winemaking Process: The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented on their own natural yeasts, with 6 months' maturation in a large, old oak cask.
Winemaker: With almost 2,000 years of history, Nikolaihof is the oldest winery in Austria and among the first in the world to farm biodynamically under the Demeter Association's standards. The Saahs family took over the estate in 1894, continuing the integrated farming the monks before them had practiced; even as winemaking expanded through the 1960s, no chemicals were ever used. Nikolaihof has farmed biodynamically since 1971 — one of the longest-practicing biodynamic estates anywhere — and became Demeter-certified in 1998, today producing around 95,000 bottles a year.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
