Domaine Arnaud Baillot Meursault Village Blanc 2023
A Beaune winemaker who married into Chambolle-Musigny royalty is slowly buying back the vines he used to just source grapes from.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from organic vineyards in Meursault, whose appellation is the most extensive in the Côte de Beaune — roughly 30% premier cru and 70% village-level vineyards — under a continental climate with slightly higher temperatures and rainfall than its neighbours.
Taste Profile: A beautifully aromatic nose of honey, linden flower, hazelnut butter, chamomile and a hint of hawthorn. Beautiful gold in colour, silky and round on the palate, with flavours of yellow plum and gingerbread lingering long into the finish.
Winemaking Process: Manual harvesting with parcel-by-parcel ripeness monitoring and grape sorting. Traditional fermentation in oak barrels, then 12 months' ageing in Burgundy oak (25% new). No filtering before bottling.
Winemaker: Arnaud Baillot finished his oenology master's in 2013 and began making wine in Beaune shortly after, launching his own label in 2015 alongside his wife Laure, whose family owns Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat in Chambolle-Musigny. He started as primarily a négociant, buying fruit from high-quality terroirs across a range spanning Bourgogne to Grand Cru, while working lutte raisonnée viticulture since 2014. His long-term goal has been to shift from purchased fruit to domaine-owned vines, and by the 2023 vintage he was making wine almost entirely from vineyards he owns himself.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
