Ukraine’s only sparkling wine made from a grape that grows nowhere else in the country.
Grape Varietals & Region: Made entirely from Cserszegi fűszeres (Chersegi), the unique variety grown exclusively in Chateau Chizay’s Transcarpathian vineyards, this sparkling wine is produced by the Charmat-Martinotti (tank) method.
Taste Profile: A generous bouquet of fruit and floral aromas leads into a bright, pleasantly light palate with refreshing acidity — a genuinely original Ukrainian sparkling.
Winemaking Process: Second fermentation in tank via the Charmat-Martinotti method, which preserves the base wine’s fresh, fruity character rather than developing the yeasty notes of traditional method sparklers.
Winemaker: Made at Chateau Chizay, founded in 1995 by Gennadiy Gutman in Transcarpathia and the first Ukrainian winery to join the Porto Protocol for sustainable winemaking.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
