Twomey Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2020
A cool-climate Pinot from the Napa power family better known for big Cabernet.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the cool, foggy Anderson Valley AVA in Mendocino, California, sourced from Ferrington Vineyard, Middle Ridge Vineyard and Twomey's own Monument Tree vineyard. Daily diurnal shifts here favour restraint and finesse over power.
Taste Profile: Dark ruby in the glass, with kirsch, black raspberry and rich black truffle aromas. Dry and full-bodied, focused and complex, with a supple mouthfeel and layers of fine tannins. Fresh cherry, blackberry, orange peel and dark spice flavours are rounded out by earth and gardenia floral notes.
Winemaking Process: Fermented with 37% whole cluster, then aged 14 months in 100% French oak, 24% new. The first vintage of this bottling came out in 2007, made solely from Ferrington Vineyard fruit.
Winemaker: Twomey Cellars was founded in 1999 by the Duncan family, longtime owners of Silver Oak Cellars, as a way to explore varietals beyond Cabernet Sauvignon — the name honours Ray Duncan's mother, Velma Marie Twomey Duncan. The winemaking team sought out Anderson Valley specifically for its cool fog and ability to produce Pinot Noir with real restraint, building a long relationship with Ferrington Vineyard along the way.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
