Domaine Gallety "Cuvée Vallée du Rhône" 2022
Syrah from the steep upper slopes, Grenache from below, on vines organically farmed since 1979.
Grape Varietals & Region: 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache from 40–45-year-old vines on clay-limestone soils in Ardèche, Côtes du Vivarais, organically cultivated since 1979. The upper slopes (cordon de Royat) suit Syrah, while the lower slopes (cordon de Royat and gobelet) are reserved for Grenache; the vineyard sits at 250–350 metres altitude in a continental climate cooler and wetter than the Côtes du Rhône across the river.
Taste Profile: A racy wine with great drinkability. Generous aromas of black fruit; a deep but balanced palate with good acidity and fine tannins, offering ripe blackberry with notes of red fruits, liquorice, black olives, a graphite mineral vibrancy and earthy accents. Ageing potential of 10 years.
Winemaking Process: Manual harvest and partial destemming, with natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts, separated by variety and plot. Maceration for 21 days in cement tanks with pump-overs and punch-downs 3–4 times a day; the wine ages in neutral oak barrels for 14–15 months, unfined and unfiltered before bottling.
Winemaker: Domaine Gallety was founded in 1974 in Saint-Montan by the Gallety family, and is farmed organically today by Alain Gallety and his son David-Alexandre across the estate's Côtes du Vivarais hillsides.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
