Saracco Moscato d'Asti 2024
A great-grandson of the family's original Moscato grower told his father he wanted to stop selling grapes and start bottling wine — and became Moscato's Maestro.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Moscato Bianco Canelli, from vineyards in the municipalities of Castiglione Tinella, Santo Stefano Belbo, Castagnole Lanze and Calosso, in Asti, Piedmont.
Taste Profile: Lightly sparkling, fresh and fruity. The nose opens with peach, apple and honeysuckle, leading to a complex, medium-bodied palate with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity — sweet peach, apricot, orange blossom and lemon zest, closing with beautiful persistence.
Winemaking Process: After harvest, bunches are gently pressed to extract the most flavourful juice from the outer part of the grape. The must is held in stainless steel at -3°C, sometimes for months, until transferred to autoclaves for temperature-controlled fermentation as demand requires, then microfiltered and bottled to lock in freshness.
Winemaker: Paolo Saracco's great-grandfather Luigi began growing Moscato grapes in the early 1900s, and the family sold fruit for generations before Paolo, fresh out of enology school, told his father he wanted to stop selling grapes and bottle wine under the family name instead. He launched the Saracco Moscato d'Asti label in 1988, began exporting with his very first vintage in 1990, and was among the first to ship Moscato d'Asti as a DOCG wine to the US, effectively launching the category there. Wine writer Antonio Galloni named him the "Maestro of Moscato" in 2011, recognising decades spent pushing for DOCG status and setting the region's quality benchmark.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
