Daniel Bouland "Cuvée Mélanie" Côte de Brouilly 2024
Named after the winemaker's daughter, who now works the vineyards and cellar alongside her father.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Gamay from 70-year-old vines on schist and granite-derived soil with blue diorite, on the southern slope of Mont Brouilly, Beaujolais, France.
Taste Profile: One of the more vibrant and lifted wines in Bouland's range, showing ripe red and black forest fruits alongside green herbal tinges and rustic, earthy minerals. Savoury, structured tannins frame the palate beautifully, with a thrilling line of acid drawing out the finish.
Winemaking Process: Natural yeast, 100% whole-bunch fermentation (also known as carbonic maceration), the process that most defines the wine's style, followed by ageing in large, neutral oak and bottling without fining and only light filtration.
Winemaker: Daniel Bouland is a fourth-generation vigneron based in the Corcelette hamlet of Morgon, born in 1973 into a family with deep Beaujolais roots. He studied viticulture and oenology in Beaune before founding his own estate in 2003, farming roughly eight hectares across Morgon, Côte de Brouilly and Chiroubles, much of it bush vines approaching a century old. He does most of the vineyard and cellar work himself, now assisted by his daughter Mélanie, and is recognised as one of the finest producers in Morgon, holding two stars or more in the Revue du Vin de France's Classement, a distinction shared by only a handful of the region's growers.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
