Susana Balbo Barrel Ferment Torrontés 2024
The Queen of Torrontés puts her most artful spin yet on Argentina's signature white grape.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Torrontés from Mendoza, Argentina, hand-picked, destemmed and cooled to 6°C before fermentation.
Taste Profile: Pale gold with bright reflections. On the nose, white pear, white flowers and ripe peach. On the palate, beautiful structure and acidity carry enticing fruit flavours, with plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas — fruity, floral, and still quite dry.
Winemaking Process: Macerated with dry ice for 6 hours, then lightly pressed and 100% fermented in new French oak for 4 months, adding lemongrass, lime and wet stone notes and a layer of complexity rare for the variety.
Winemaker: Susana Balbo built her reputation working with Torrontés in Salta before becoming Argentina's first female winemaker to run her own eponymous winery, earning her the nickname "Queen of Torrontés." Her Signature range is where she pushes furthest as a winemaker — bold, artistic wines that apply a human touch without masking the grape's own character, preserving every element of terroir along the way.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
