L.A.S. Vino 'Granite' Grenache 2021
There's nothing conventional about L.A.S. Vino — Nic Peterkin doesn't even own a vineyard, he just chases fruit around Margaret River for wines no one else is making.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Grenache sourced from organic and biodynamic vineyards around Margaret River, Western Australia, by a producer with no vineyards of his own — just a restless eye for interesting fruit.
Taste Profile: Enthralling ruby-violet colour. Whole-bunch fermentation draws out forest floor, earth and root vegetable aromas layered with red fruit, orange peel and florals — pretty red fruit twisted into something more brooding, like fruit steeped in Campari. Medium-bodied, with crunchy acidity and toasty oak on the finish.
Winemaking Process: Fermented as whole bunches to build savoury, structural complexity, then aged in oak to round out the toasty finish.
Winemaker: Nic Peterkin, grandson of Diana and Kevin Cullen (Cullen Wines) and son of Mike Peterkin (Pierro), founded L.A.S. Vino in 2013 with the goal of being "the best at being different." He doesn't own vineyards — he sources fruit from around Margaret River to make varieties and blends no one else in the region is attempting.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
