One of the wines that helped put Prince Edward County on the map as serious Chardonnay country.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay grown in Prince Edward County, Ontario — one of Canada's coolest-climate wine regions, where Closson Chase helped pioneer commercial winemaking starting in 1998.
Taste Profile: Nutty tones of almond and buttered pecan open the nose, followed by floral and spice notes. Full in the mouth, with brioche, caramel and juicy ripe tree fruit, framed by tight acid and wet stone that carry through a lengthy, lively finish. Rated 92 points, praised for layered aromas of Asian pear, peach, green apple and toasty oak balanced by deep minerality — a natural match for grilled chicken or seafood pasta in cream sauce.
Winemaking Process: Made using centuries-old European traditions alongside sustainable, innovative techniques, capturing the distinct character each vintage's soil and climate impart.
Winemaker: Closson Chase was founded in 1998 as one of the earliest wineries in Prince Edward County, producing its first commercial vintage in 2004 out of a century-old dairy barn once owned by the Closson family. Winemaker Keith Tyers, who took over from founding partner Deborah Paskus in 2015, settled in the County after training as a sommelier in Toronto, and now leads the estate's celebrated Chardonnay and Pinot Noir program.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
