Mario Gagliasso Barolo "Tre Utin" DOCG 2021
"Utin" is Piedmontese for vineyard, and this Barolo is a blend of three of them — hence the name.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Nebbiolo from three vineyards: two in La Morra and one in Monforte d'Alba, farmed by the Gagliasso family across roughly 15 hectares in the heart of the Barolo zone.
Taste Profile: Great value for a Barolo. Pale ruby red in the glass, clean, pure and elegant, with a perfect sense of balance. Fresh red cherry and plum jam flavours interlace with hints of earthy leather, tobacco and vanilla spice.
Winemaking Process: Fruit from the three named vineyards is vinified and aged separately before blending, following the estate's terroir-focused, moderately traditional approach to Barolo production.
Winemaker: The Gagliasso family's winery began in the 1960s as Gagliasso Michele e Figli, producing its first Barolo in 1971. Mario Gagliasso took over from his father in the 1980s, replanting and expanding the vineyards with a sharpened focus on terroir, and grew the estate further alongside his wife Luciana by modernising the cellar at their historic base in the medieval hamlet of Torriglione, La Morra. Since the 2000s, his children Luca and Nicoletta, both winemakers in their own right, have taken an active role in running the family estate.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
