Noelia Ricci Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore DOC 2023
A tribute to the classicism of the Rabbi Valley, made almost entirely from two indigenous grapes.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Sangiovese from vines in the calcareous yellow clay soils of the Rabbi Valley, Emilia-Romagna, planted in 2002 with a southeastern exposure at 250–300 metres altitude. The continental climate is tempered by a sea breeze from the Adriatic, 50km away; the estate has been converting to organic farming since August 2018.
Taste Profile: Dark ruby in colour, opening with a floral bouquet of hibiscus, lavender and mandarin flowers. Sweet and juicy on the palate with fine, round tannins; juicy cherry and raspberry fruit are embellished by a balsamic sensation, vegetal notes and aromatic herbs.
Winemaking Process: Manual harvest in 15kg cases during the second week of September, with different clones harvested and vinified separately. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast and temperature-controlled maceration in stainless steel; skin maceration lasts 18 days, followed by malolactic fermentation without clarification or filtration. The wine ages 70% in stainless steel and 30% in concrete for 6 months, plus a minimum of 6 months in bottle.
Winemaker: The Noelia Ricci project was born within Tenuta Pandolfa in 2010, with its first harvest in 2013, named for the matriarch who planted the estate's first vines in the 1970s. Her legacy continues under her daughter Paola and grandson Marco, with winemaker Marco Cirese at the helm — the vineyards planted exclusively to the indigenous Sangiovese and Trebbiano as a tribute to local winegrowing tradition.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
