Two brothers, one family estate built from scratch in 1980, and a Sauvignon Blanc of incomparable elegance.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Pouilly-Fumé in the Loire Valley, France. The vineyard rests on Kimmeridgian marl and terres blanches, giving the wine finesse and incomparable elegance.
Taste Profile: A bright light yellow with a hint of pale gold, this Pouilly-Fumé opens with a nose of white flowers, combining vegetal notes with citrus zest. On the palate the attack is lively and frank, very generous with freshness and a beautiful minerality.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are gently pressed and cold macerated, after which the wine is aged for several months on fine lees until bottling.
Winemaker: Clément and Florian Berthier are two brothers carrying forward a winemaking tradition their father, Jean Marie Berthier, began from scratch in 1980, assembling 16 hectares of vines mainly in the Giennois and Sancerre before adding Domaine de Montbenoit in 1998. Both brothers trained at the CFPPA in Beaune before working stints abroad — Clément at Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Solena in Oregon, Florian at Domaine Anne-François Gros in Vosne-Romanée — before joining the family estate by 2013. Florian now manages the vineyards while Clément makes the wine and runs sales; together they eliminated chemical inputs in 2013 and achieved organic certification in 2022 across the estate's 30-plus hectares in the Loire Valley.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
