Stolpman "So Fresh" Grenache Gamay Trousseau 2021
Born from a Grenache so pure the winemakers decided it needed backup, not a bigger stage.
Grape Varietals & Region: 76% Grenache, 12% Gamay and 12% Trousseau, all from Stolpman Vineyards' sustainably farmed estate in Santa Barbara County, California — Grenache predominantly from a Block 3 massal selection, Trousseau from Block 3, and Gamay from Block 10.
Taste Profile: A super pure red cherry nose with a bright punch of pomegranate. Youthful and tart on the palate, with an overarching hint of orange citrus. Trousseau lends a savoury hint of tea leaves, while Gamay adds depth and crunch, and a tannic backbone with juicy acidity gives it more structure than just a delicious daytime sip.
Winemaking Process: 100% whole-cluster carbonic fermentation for the Gamay and Grenache, with no sulfur added through primary fermentation; the Grenache and Gamay undergo a 9-day native carbonic fermentation in stainless steel before pressing to tank to finish. The Trousseau is destemmed, foot-trodden and pumped over through a 12-day fermentation with native yeasts in open-top concrete. After blending, the wine ages 4 months in 500L neutral French Ermitage oak puncheons.
Winemaker: Stolpman Vineyards began experimenting with whole-grape Grenache in 2018 for their Rooted field blend, and loved the pure red fruit character it lent even before isolating it. In 2020, they carved out a dedicated carbonic Grenache tank that was almost too pure on its own, so they added a little Gamay and Trousseau — light-bodied varieties that wouldn't weigh down its feathery, chillable profile — and So Fresh was born.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
