A Friulian white grown where Roman-era wine amphorae still turn up in the vineyard.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Ribolla Gialla from vines grown in medium-textured sandy clay soils within IGT Venezia Giulia, Friuli, Italy.
Taste Profile: A straw yellow colour with crystalline reflections. A delicate bouquet of acacia flowers, white peaches, light lemon citrus and hints of nutmeg spice carries through beautifully to the palate. Decidedly dry, fresh and lovely, with a harmonious finish. Ageing potential of 5-10 years.
Winemaking Process: Fruit is grown in the sandy clay soils typical of the estate, near the Adriatic coast, with vinification aimed at preserving the variety's natural freshness and delicate aromatics.
Winemaker: Obiz is a family winery founded in 1997 by Yunmani Bergamasco, who followed in his grandparents' footsteps after completing agricultural studies. Based in the hamlet of Borgo Gortani near Cervignano del Friuli — an area farmed for wine since Roman times, with amphorae still turning up on the property — Obiz embraces sustainability and resistant PIWI grape varieties alongside its native Friulian whites.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
