Domaine des Marnes Blanches Poulsard 2020
The palest red in the Jura, made from a grape almost too translucent to call a red wine.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Poulsard, from the domaine's 12 hectares in the South Revermont, on the marl and limestone soils that give the estate its name ("marnes blanches" means "white marls").
Taste Profile: A light and delicate body with fresh aromas of raspberries and cherries, along with subtle hints of spices and herbs. Vibrant acidity and soft tannins give it a refreshing, lively character, closing in a long finish of red fruits and minerals. Lovely with charcuterie, grilled meats and light cheeses.
Winemaking Process: Harvested by hand and vinified in whole bunches with minimal extraction to preserve Poulsard's delicate colour and structure. Fermentation relies on indigenous yeasts, with most cuvées made without added sulphur, and the wine ages 10 months in barrel before bottling.
Winemaker: Domaine des Marnes Blanches has been run since 2006 by Pauline and Géraud Fromont, both trained oenologists, who farm parcels of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir across the South Revermont, at the northern edge of the Jura.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
