Gusbourne "Rosé" 2019
World Champion Classic Rosé, National Champion Best English Sparkling Wine, and Best in Class English Rosé — all in the same year, at the 2023 CSWWC.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of estate-grown Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from Appledore, Kent, and the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex. Burgundian clones are planted across both sites, yielding smaller volumes of intensely flavourful fruit that thrive in their own distinct microclimates.
Taste Profile: Delicate salmon pink with a fine mousse. On the nose, bright red fruit, red apple and white peach. The palate is fresh, vibrant and dominated by red cherry, ripe strawberry and raspberry, with floral undertones and hints of nectarine and mandarin. Creamy texture and lively citrus combine for a persistent finish.
Winemaking Process: Made in the traditional method — hand-harvested, gently pressed, and given a secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine then rests on its lees for over two years before disgorgement, building the fine mousse and textural depth that carried it to a clean sweep at the 2023 CSWWC.
Winemaker: Charlie Holland joined Gusbourne in 2013 after training at Plumpton College and working harvests across the Languedoc, Napa, the Rheingau and New Zealand, plus a stint as winemaker at Ridgeview in East Sussex. He's now the only three-time winner of the IWSC English Wine Producer of the Year. Gusbourne itself traces back to 1410, when the estate belonged to the nobleman John de Gosbourne — the three geese on the estate crest, still on the label today, come from his name. Vines weren't planted until 2004, when founder Andrew Weeber set out to make English sparkling wine that could rival the best in the world.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
