Orin Swift Cellars Abstract 2021
A summary of something larger — decidedly archetypal of many things to come on a journey with Orin Swift.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Grenache, Petite Sirah and Syrah from California.
Taste Profile: Aromatics with gravity: notes of blueberry, black fig and bloodied strawberry with hints of musk and rhubarb pull you in. Bold on entry, the palate carries rich dark plum and ripe raspberry with a slightly chalky texture, transitioning effortlessly to a finish of black cherry, sweet liquorice and quick-drying tannins. Best decanted an hour before serving.
Winemaking Process: Aged 8 months in a combination of 43% American and 57% French oak, of which 27% was new.
Winemaker: Orin Swift Cellars was founded in 1998 by a then 24-year-old Dave Phinney, who named the winery for his father's middle name (Orin) and his mother's maiden name (Swift). His breakout came with The Prisoner in 2000, after which Phinney built a run of unconventional blends wrapped in darkly artful, gothic labels that have made him one of Napa's most recognisable names.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
