Mascara Cuvée “Antonio Mascaro” Gran Reserva NV is a premium sparkling wine made from a blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada grapes grown in the Penedès region of Spain. This Gran Reserva is aged for a minimum of 30 months on its lees, creating a complex and refined character.
On the palate, it offers a creamy mousse with a delicate and persistent bead, leading to a beautifully balanced mouthfeel. The aromas are of ripe fruit with hints of citrus and floral notes. The flavors of pear, apricot, and baked apple are complemented by a subtle toastiness from the extended ageing process.
The wine is named after the founder of the winery, Antonio Mascaro, who established the Mascara winery in 1946.
