Eger's answer to its own famous red, made from four grapes instead of Bull's Blood's usual crowd.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Királyleányka, Hárslevelű, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, from Bolyki's Közébérc and Hajdúhegy vineyards in Eger, Hungary, on brown forest soils in a cool climate.
Taste Profile: Enticing floral aromas framed by grapefruit and lime citrus. A crisp palate of white peach ending in a chalky, mineral finish.
Winemaking Process: Fermented in chilled stainless steel tanks, then bottled after a short ageing period and a careful blending of the four varieties.
Winemaker: János Bolyki planted his first 11 hectares in Eger in 1998, a first-generation winemaker whose parents had only grown grapes in their backyard. He later bought the remains of an abandoned medieval stone quarry on Eger's outskirts and slowly turned it into an atmospheric winery of nine interconnected cellars. Now farming over 27 hectares with a minimal-intervention, natural-fermentation philosophy, Bolyki makes both of Eger's emblematic wines — the red Bikavér and its white counterpart, Csillag.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
