Domaine Wardy "Château Les Cèdres" 2015
A Lebanese widow named Rose took over her family's vineyards in the 19th century and gave her descendants both a name and a wine dynasty.
Grape Varietals & Region: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Syrah and 15% Merlot, grown on clay, silt and gravel soils across the Château Les Cèdres vineyards in North Bekaa and Zahlé, Lebanon — the heart of the Bekaa Valley, the country's high-altitude winemaking heartland.
Taste Profile: Full-bodied and well-structured with strong tannins. Luscious black cherry and blackcurrant fruit carry complex layers of smoky cedar, chocolate, mint and a hint of lavender.
Winemaking Process: Hand-picked fruit ferments in stainless steel tanks with 15 days of skin maceration, then ages 18 months in French oak barrels.
Winemaker: Domaine Wardy traces back to 1881 and to Wardy (Rose) Mousallem, a young widow who took charge of her family's vineyards and orchards in Zahlé after her husband's death and became the matriarch whose name the estate still carries. Now in its fourth generation, the family renovated the winery and planted new high-altitude organic vineyards in 2018, producing around 80,000 bottles a year and collecting more than 350 international awards along the way.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
