Lethbridge Pinot Noir 2023
“Pinot noir is the sexiest grape variety” — after 20 years and every variety in between, this is still the one that gets under winemaker Ray Nadeson's skin.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir sourced from four single vineyards across Geelong, Victoria — two in the Moorabool Valley (Hillside Haven and Springbank) and two on the Bellarine Peninsula (Hat Rock and Suma Park).
Taste Profile: Captivating aromas of earth, mushroom, exotic dark cherry and wet leaves or forest floor lead into intoxicating flavours of dark cherry with undercurrents of earth and spice. Supple, smooth and silky in texture, with a lingering finish that leaves you wanting more.
Winemaking Process: All fruit was hand-picked and fermented separately by vineyard to keep each parcel's character distinct, with wild yeast fermentation and around 40% whole bunches. The wine matured for 10 months in 40% new French oak barriques before the parcels were blended into the final wine.
Winemaker: Lethbridge Wines was founded in 1996 by three scientists — neuroscientist Ray Nadeson, medical chemistry researcher Maree Collis and cardiac physician Adrian Thomas — who traded their day jobs to chase terroir in the Moorabool Valley. Nadeson and Collis studied winemaking at Charles Sturt University while still working full-time, replanting the Lethbridge Estate Vineyard, first established by Swiss immigrants in 1874. As Nadeson puts it: “Pinot noir is the sexiest grape variety. And believe me, I have made more than my share of varieties.”

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
