Description

Domaine Antoine Sanzay Saumur-Champigny "La Haye Dampierre" 2019

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Franc from the Saumur-Champigny appellation of theAnjou villages in Loire Valley, France. It comes from a small parcel of vines planted around 1975 on sandy limoneux soils

Taste Profile: An aromatic bouquet of ripe red fruits, notes of black pepper, and a slight vegetal touch typical of Cabernet Franc. On the palate, the wine is complex and structured, with well-integrated tannins that harmoniously balance with a lively acidity, promising excellent aging potential.

Winemaking Process: The fruit is hand harvested and sorted. It is destemmed and ferments spontaneously before being pressed. The wine ages & undergoes malolactic fermentation in a mixture of concrete eggs and old barrels for 9 months before bottling unfined & unfiltered
