Jakob Jung stands for the tipicity of Rheingau Rieslings - light, racy, playful with will-integrated, fine acidity. The winery has been a family property since 1799, in the middle of the Rheingau, in the middle of Erbach, and stands for accessible, quality wines with complexity without being tiresome
The early family generations have not only been cultivating wine, but also other groceries. This changed, when Ludwig Jung took over in 1969, who transformed the mixed-food business into a sole winery. Today, it is run by Alexander Johannes Jung.
The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Hohenrain, Marcobrunn, Michelmark, Siegelsberg and Steinmorgen (Erbach), as well as Sandgrub (Kiedrich). They are planted with the varieties Riesling (82%), Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. The vineyards are cultivated in a natural way with permanent cover crop, no herbicides and minimised plant protection, and winemaking is typically done with long lees contact for their Rieslings
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Pinot Blanc & Chardonnay from Rheingau, Germany. Grown on their estate loess soils with the highest proportion of calcareous sediments.
Taste Profile: Finely spicy notes of the Pinot Blanc and the fruity bouquet of the Chardonnay combine to create a wonderful cuvée with character. The Chardonnay unfolds in the cuvée with a fine and fruity bouquet, especially the typical apple scent. Light nuances of exotic fruits are mixed in. The cuvée shows the characteristic nutty-spicy notes of the Pinot Blanc and the intense fruit aroma of the Chardonnay on the nose.
Winemaking Process: The Pinot Blanc from the traditional barrel brings the melt, the Chardonnay from the stainless steel tank the racy elegance.

Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
