Château Laurence

With a degree in oenology from Bordeaux University and experience working as a wine consultant for prestigious vineyards in both Bordeaux and abroad, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest (Château Angélus) joined up with Philippe Nunes, technical director of his La Fleur de Boüard vineyards in Lalande de Pomerol, in 2012 to prepare a new project: Château Laurence. Together with friends, they purchased a small 6.6 hectare plot between Saint-Sulpice-et-Cameyrac and Montussan, of vines planted on clay and chalky soils.

The Château Laurence vineyard is on the banks of the La Laurence river, from which it takes its name. The terroir here offers ideal characteristics to extract the maximum expression of the Merlot grape variety. The château produces a splendid single-variety Merlot wine, Petite Laurence, as well as the Petite Laurence Blanc, a single-variety Sauvignon Blanc under the label of the Bordeaux-Supérieur appellation. Two wonderful wines created by excellent winemakers at very affordable prices.
