Description
Weinhof Szemes Desiderius Cuvée 2015
Weinhof Szemes Desiderius Cuvée is a complex and very elegant wine with fantastic ageing potential. Dark berry fruit aromas follow through to the full-bodied and dry palate, where its berry compote flavour is joined by a distinctive mineral note.
Blend of 60% Blaufränkisch, 20% Zweigelt and 20% Carbernet Sauvignon. The fruit for this wine comes from vines growing in the mica slate soils of top vineyards in central Burgenland, including the top Hochberg location.
Selective manual harvest for perfectly ripe fruit. Fermentation and then ageing for
14 months in partly new 500 litre barrels and then for 6 months in large oak barrels.
Ageing potential: Great ageing potential. Keep until 2035!
