Description

Weingut A.J.Adam In der Sengerei Feinherb 2023

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the In der Sengerel part of the Dhroner Hofberg, Mosel, Germany. Classified VDP.Grosse Lage

In der Sengerei is a special part oft the side Dhroner Hofberg (Gewann) in the warmer front part. The exposition of this area is south faced with a lot of sun hours. The very old vines raised on single poles with its small berry clusters

Taste Profile: Quite firm, deep and complex, still a touch reductive scent with cool citrus and stone fruit aromas, herbs, hints of smoke and clear minerality. Clear, taut, juicy, cool fruit, moderate sweetness and lively, fine acidity, yeasty notes, again a hint of smoke, some grip from crumbly tannins, herbal-vegetable and delicate floral tones, a little dark berries in the background, stony minerality, good depth, still undeveloped, very good, taut, sweet-tart finish with pull.

Winemaking Process: The grapes are pressed with the stems, and undergo spontaneous ferment in an old Fuder barrel and age for 6 month on the fine yeast.
