Description

Quinta da Romaneira Dona Clara 2018

Grape Varietals & Region: The best representation of the house, with a blend of Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao, but also includes certain lots of both Syrah and of Petit Verdot that comes from the quinta's vineyards

Taste Profile: Fresh and balanced, its intense bright fruit, wild spicy character, and strong but fine and elegant tannins, are typical expressions of the great vineyard of Romaneira. Spicy and fruity, still structured but softening, this is going to be a fine wine that is beginning to really show about 5 years from vintage. A lovely complex classic Douro Valley field blend

Winemaking Process: The fruit is fermented in stainless steel tanks for a period of 7 days, where they then undergo malolactic fermentation. The wine is then transaferred to oak barrels for 10 months, of with 9% is new French oak
