Menage a Trois Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
California winemaking meets traditional Kentucky craft distilling, one barrel at a time.
Grape Varietals & Region: Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Merlot and Petite Sirah for balance, sourced from select Alexander Valley vineyards in California's North Coast AVA, known for producing fruit with rich, soulful flavour and intense varietal character.
Taste Profile: Aromas of berry cobbler lead to jammy blueberry and blackberry flavours cloaked in caramel and smoky spice. Subtle notes of vanilla, brown sugar, smoke and spice meet a full-bodied, richly structured palate with a lingering finish.
Winemaking Process: After fermentation, the wine ages for three months in oak barrels previously used to age six-year-old Kentucky bourbon, lending the wine its distinctive caramel and smoke character.
Winemaker: Ménage à Trois began in 1996 as a single red blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, created at Folie à Deux Winery in St. Helena, California — a winery founded in 1981 by two psychiatrists who named it after the psychiatric term for a shared delusion. The playful name and easy-drinking style built a cult following, and in 2004 both Ménage à Trois and Folie à Deux were acquired by Trinchero Family Estates, who have grown the brand into one of California's best-known blend labels while keeping its cheeky, more-is-more spirit intact.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
