Description
KSG Life Saperavi Late Harvest 2019
KSG Life Saperavi Late Harvest is a limited edition Georgian wine that you'll be lucky to get your hands on. The nose opens with blackcurrant and berry fruit aromas that have a dusty iodine-like quality and a hint of chocolate in the background. Full texture with soft tannins and a beautiful balance on the palate. Overflows with berry compote flavours and subtle notes of roasted herbs and sun-dried tomatoes. Expressive and lingering finish – you won't even notice its high alcohol content.
Ageing potential: Drink now or keep. This wine has an enormous ageing potential and can be kept for 20 years!
100% Saperavi. The fruit comes from vines grown in the Tsinandali sub-region of Kakheti, Georgia.
Late harvesting of the fruit combines with the qvevri (amphora) method to create a captivating wine. A late harvest does come with some risks, but winemaker Temuri Dakishvili timed this perfectly.
