Haselgrove Wines First Cut Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
The principle behind their First Cut series revolves around the winemaking term ‘first cut’ in which during the pressing cycle the softer free run juice/wine is separated from the second cut or pressings. This principle flows through to the style of First Cut wines, producing well-structured wines with great drinkability.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Mclaren Vale, Australia. Coming from 2 sites in McLaren Vale, the Willunga area offers fruit displaying dark berry characters and hints of fennel with chewy tannins, while fruit from McLaren Flat displays floral notes and finer tannins
Taste Profile: Lifted varietal aromas of red currant, summer berries and cranberry combine with bright violet perfume and subtle spice.
Medium to full-bodied with bright fruits, red plum, blackcurrant and cherry balanced with oak spice and a hint of dried herbs. Lengthy tannins and a fine acid line give structure and length to the palate yielding a wine that can be enjoyed in its youth but will also develop beautifully with time.
Winemaking Process: De-stemmed to a combination of open and static fermenters and fermented on skins for 10 days with pump overs 3 times daily. Pressed directly to oak to finish secondary fermentation. Matured for 16 months in 20% new and 80% seasoned French oak.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
