GranMonte Viognier opens with a nose of exotic flowers. Papaya flower and honeysuckle mingle with aromatic layers of lime zest, dried apricot and minerality. Elegant and complex on the light-bodied palate. Tropical flavours of papaya, guava and melon lead into a vanilla oak spice finish over a tight acidic backbone. Enjoy drinking this on its own while it's young or pair it with food.

The fruit for this wine comes from GranMonte's 15 hectare estate vineyard thatĀ lies inĀ Asoke valley, Thailand,Ā 350 metres above sea level.Ā The vineyard operatesĀ with a precision farming system called āSmart Vineyardā, which incorporates a microclimate monitoring system. The system greatly assistsĀ their ātropicalā vineyard management to achieve the best possibly quality and higher yield of grapes in this unconventional viticulture climate.
Careful hand harvesting when the fruit isĀ at its most aromatic. Picking in the cool mornings, the grapesĀ then go through a hand sorting before destemming and crushing. Partial fermentation of the juiceĀ in old French oak barrels with wild yeast fromĀ the GranMonte estateĀ vineyard.
