Description

Domaine Garon Cotes du Rhone La Part Des Vivants 2020

Grape Varietals & Region: A Syrah dominant blend with Grenache & Carignan. The Syrah comes from Ampuis area, not far from the Cote-Rotie vineyards. The Grenache and the Mourvedre comes from declassified Cru Cairanne and Rasteu

Taste Profile: On the nose, Earthy, red berries and cherries, blueberries, dark chocolate and pepper, as well as oak spices. A medium bodied red, with beautiful fleshy texture filled with pure ripe black berries. Balanced, with good acidity, spice again on the palate and a saline fresh finish. Darker and spicier than most Cotes du Rhone from the Southern Rhone, this wine is unique.

Winemaking Process: This cuvee is mostly de-stemmed, with traditional vinification and no sulphur during the vinification and ageing. Aged in very old barrels of 228 litres. Low sulphur at bottling.
