DAOU Vineyards Journey Bodyguard Red 2022
The Bodyguard Collection is inspired by the personal journey of brothers Georges and Daniel Daou. Each Bodyguard wine is made in tribute to their mother Marie, who safeguarded them through times of trial. When the young brothers were gravely injured by a missile strike at the start of the Lebanese Civil War, it was Marie who helped lead the family to safety in France. She imparted the love, hope and strength that would ultimately enable Georges and Daniel to follow their dreams to DAOU Mountain.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of 66% Petit Verdot, 28% Petite Sirah, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles in California, USA
Taste Profile: Deep garnet hue with aromas of ripe plum, berry compote, blackberry and clove, underlain by hints of pine, cedar and vanilla. Juicy, velvety textures expand with layers of mixed berry flavors. A medium-bodied mouthfeel finishes with bright, silky tannins.
Winemaking Process: 15 months in 35% new French oak, 35% new American oak and 30% neutral French oak

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
