Comando G Pena La Mora 1er Cru 2023
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Garnacha from Cebreros DOP in Castilla y Leon, Spain. Coming from vines over 75 years old, the fruit is grown on slate soils, rich in quartz, and the altitude of 1,200 metres above sea level. This makes this wine one of the most distinctive and refreshing reds you can find
Taste Profile: On the nose, it is distinguished by aromas of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla and spices imparted by its time in barrels. On the palate, it is smooth and sophisticated, with gentle tannins that contribute a pleasant freshness. Its finish is persistent, leaving a lingering memory of wild berries and a delicate hint of wood. A wine that invites you to savour it leisurely.
Winemaking Process: Following manual harvesting, Comando G Peña La Mora 1er is taken to the winery and allowed to ferment with native yeasts and spontaneously. After racking, it is left to macerate for two months, without aggressive pump-overs, until it is pressed and the wine is separated from the skins. Comando G Peña La Mora 1er will be at its best after 16 months, once it has rested in oak foudres and concrete vats
