Chan de Rosas Albarino Classico 2023
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Albarino. Hailing from Galicia, in Cambados village (cradle of Albariño wine), Salnes valley subzone in the Rías Baixas D. O. Chan de Rosas never fails to surprise.
Taste Profile: Refreshing acidity with a good medium body mouthfeel. This straw yellow bottle of Albarino Classico presents aromas of white flowers, citrus and white fruit. Perfectly good on its own, slight mineral finish. Chan de Rosas (Garden of Roses) is a fuller, richer style of Albarino. Malolatic and lees fermentations give the palate great texture, complexity and creaminess.
Winemaking Process: The harvest is carried out by hand in 15 kilos boxes. Post destemming, the grapes are cold macerated at 7°C for 12 hours. The must goes through a static racking for the next 24 hours followed by alcoholic fermentation at low temperatures. In order to bring more complexity to the wine in aromas and flavours, the wine has to be stirred each week to keep the lees suspended.
