Bodega Garzón Single Vineyard Tannat 2023
The Tannat of all Tannats in Bodega Garzón.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Tannat from a single vineyard in Garzón, Uruguay, grown in a cooler pocket of the estate than most other blocks. The terrain has steep slopes and thin soils with excellent drainage, thanks to a predominance of ballast in the upper layers.
Taste Profile: Deep purple colour. A powerful yet elegant nose of red fruit — cherry and strawberry — at first waft, slowly giving way to black plum, tobacco, chocolate and spice. Full-bodied with a juicy, fresh mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish, perfectly balanced with a touch of oak.
Winemaking Process: Ages 12 to 18 months on the lees in French oak barrels and casks.
Winemaker: Bodega Garzón is the vision of Argentine entrepreneur Alejandro Bulgheroni, who bought the once olive-covered land in 2007 on his advisors' suggestion after initially scouting it for a wind farm. Guided by consulting winemaker Alberto Antonini — the Tuscan enologist who first spotted the site's potential — Bulgheroni and his wife Bettina set out to build the most emblematic winery of modern Uruguayan viticulture, chasing wines of real terroir identity rather than imported style.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
