Grown in a genuine desert oasis, watered only by snowmelt from the Tian Shan Mountains.
Grape Varietals & Region: Muscat grown in Turpan Valley, Xinjiang, China's high desert wine region, on permeable, mineral-rich soil. Turpan is sunny and dry year-round with only 16–20mm of rain annually, an average temperature of 14.4°C and 270 growing days under 3,000–3,200 hours of sunshine — the dramatic swing between hot days and cool nights ripens the grapes while preserving natural acidity. The vines are watered by melting Tian Shan Mountain snow, channelled pure and untouched through the ancient underground Karez system.
Taste Profile: A gorgeous gold colour with a splendid aroma of tropical fruit — passion fruit and green mango with a hint of honey. Round and full on the palate with good balance of acidity and complexity, finishing long with notes of citrus fruit and spice mixed with caramel. Ready to drink now through 10 years.
Winemaking Process: Fermented in stainless steel to preserve the grape's natural aromatic intensity, with no oak contact.
Winemaker: Puchang traces back to 1975 as the state-run Turpan Wine Factory, before Hong Kong businessman K.K. Cheung purchased and restructured the estate in 2008, renaming it Puchang Vineyard. Committed to organic viticulture in one of the world's most extreme wine-growing climates, Cheung set out to change global perceptions of what Chinese wine could be, drawing on Turpan's ancient Karez underground water system and ferociously dry desert air to farm largely pest-free.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
