Puchang "Clovine" Sweet Beichun 2014
Sun-dried grapes and Tian Shan snowmelt, made in one of the world's most extreme wine regions.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Beichun grown in organic vineyards in the Turpan Valley, Xinjiang, China — permeable, mineral-rich desert soil under an extreme desert climate, irrigated by snowmelt from the Tian Shan Mountains channelled through the ancient underground Karez water system.
Taste Profile: Cherry red in colour, with a dried dates nose and subtle notes of bay leaf and rosemary. Particularly smooth in texture with good acidity on the medium-bodied palate; dried raspberries and red fruits dominate before extending into layers of black tea and caramel, closing with a sweet note of sun-dried tomatoes on the long, supple finish. Drink now or keep for 10 years.
Winemaking Process: Late-harvested so that natural fructose concentrates under the sun before pressing, in the style of a rich, mulled-wine-ready dessert red.
Winemaker: Puchang Vineyard was founded in 2008 by Hong Kong entrepreneur K.K. Cheung, who set out to change the world's perception of Chinese wine after tasting an early bottle from the region. The estate, now ECOCERT-certified organic and guided today by his daughter Clara Wang, farms 67 hectares in the Turpan Valley.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
