Cantina Lavis Pinot Grigio Trentino DOC 2023
The everyday Italian white done right, from organic vineyards on a Trentino riverbank.
Grape Varietals & Region: Pinot Grigio has been grown in Trentino for decades. Now converted to organic production, the foothill and valley vineyards of Lavis and Gardolo — with their sandy loam soils built from Avisio river deposits and alluvial sediment off the Adige — provide the perfect growing environment for the variety. The vineyard faces west, south-west, at 270m altitude, on loose, moderately stony sandy loam. Pinot Grigio is a white mutation of the Pinot family, sharing its genetic fingerprint with Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, and it is most commonly found throughout the northern regions of Italy.
Taste Profile: This wine possesses an intense golden yellow colour, with a warm, inviting bouquet rich in scents of ripe fruit and honey. It has a distinctive rich minerality, with a long and fruity aftertaste.
Winemaking Process: Manual harvesting of the grapes in mid-September, with soft pressing, static decantation of the must, and fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages on the lees for approximately 5–6 months before bottling.
Winemaker: Cantina Lavis is a growers' cooperative founded in 1948 by just 14 farmers along the Avisio river in Trentino; today more than 800 grower families — each tending an average of just one hectare — pool their fruit here, a structure that lets small indigenous varieties get the same care as the valley's flagship Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
