"De Sangre" means "of blood" — a single-vineyard Malbec meant to show exactly what one Mendoza parcel can do.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Malbec, from 20-year-old vines in the Finca Miralejos vineyard at 1,120 metres altitude in Mendoza, Argentina. The stony, calcareous soil of this terroir is what gives the wine its verticality and minerality, part of the De Sangre collection built on Luigi Bosca's intimate knowledge of specific single-vineyard parcels across the region.
Taste Profile: Bright red with dark reflections. Wet stone and chalky minerals open the nose, followed by small red berry fruits. The medium-bodied palate is vertical, fresh and dry, with balanced acidity and gentle tannins, showing a fruit-forward, vivid expression of strawberry, raspberry and cherry with hints of chocolate and gentle sweet oak spice, closing persistent and round.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are hand-picked, selected in clusters and destemmed, then cold-macerated between 8–10°C for 5–7 days. Fermentation follows in small stainless steel tanks with extractions such as plunging and délestage. The wine ages in oak barrels for 12 months, is filtered before bottling, and rests at least six months more before release.
Winemaker: Luigi Bosca was founded in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, who had arrived in Argentina from Spain in 1890 as a fourth-generation member of a family of European viticulturists, and settled in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. He partnered with the Bosca family, Piedmontese Italian winemakers, to plant European vines and build the estate now known as Bodega Luigi Bosca — Familia Arizu. Third-generation winemaker Alberto Arizu Sr. became a founding member of the Luján de Cuyo DOC council in 1989, establishing Argentina's first Denomination of Origin, for Malbec; today, fourth-generation Chairman Alberto Arizu Jr. leads the winery's global growth while preserving its founding values.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
