Omina Romana "Hermes Diactoros II" IGT 2021
A German entrepreneur's tribute to the Roman families who grew wine on these same volcanic hills two millennia ago.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Viognier and Petit Manseng, grown on the volcanic soils of the Castelli Romani in Velletri, Lazio, roughly 40km southeast of Rome.
Taste Profile: A beautiful, straw-yellow white with fresh floral aromas of jasmine and orange blossom and hints of tropical fruit. Crisp and refreshing on the palate, with white peach and green apple balanced by a subtle minerality and a long, lingering finish. Good on its own or alongside seafood.
Winemaking Process: The wine is aged 6 to 12 months in stainless steel, preserving its fresh, aromatic character rather than adding oak influence.
Winemaker: Ômina Romana was founded in 2007 by German entrepreneur Anton F. Börner and his Italian wife Anna Maria, drawn to the Castelli Romani's volcanic terroir and its history as a wine region for Roman-era estate owners nearly 2,000 years ago. Hermes Diactoros is one of the estate's flagship cuvées, built to marry that ancient sense of place with a distinctly modern winemaking outlook.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
