Le Coste di Gradoli "Litrozzo" Rosso 2022
An ethereal, crunchy natural red that rides the funky wave on only a low swell.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, from certified organic, biodynamically farmed vines on volcanic, iron- and mineral-rich soils near Lake Bolsena in Gradoli, central Italy, at 450 metres altitude in a climate neither quite Mediterranean nor continental.
Taste Profile: A pale red colour, with a nose full of plum and cherry juice and hints of violets and pepper. Bright acidity and an enjoyable tannic texture on the palate, joined by blackberry and blueberry jam flavours in a long and persistent fruity finish. Drink now!
Winemaking Process: Hand harvested, then destemmed for spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Matures in fibreglass tanks for a few months, with no fining, filtering or additional sulphites.
Winemaker: Le Coste is the project of Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clémentine Bouveron, who founded the estate in 2004 after training under some of France's best-known natural winemakers. Farming their 14-hectare property above Lake Bolsena biodynamically, without formal certification, they keep treatments to a fraction of what certified biodynamics would allow.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
