Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Albarino from the vineyards of Ancora & Pazo Pedreira in the Salnes Valley of Galicia, Spain. The vineyard was planted in 1962 on granite soils
Taste Profile: Straw yellow in color, with greenish hues. On the nose, the varietal characteristics are accentuated: balsamic, mineral, white flowers and stone fruit. On the palate it is elegant with good acidity and a rounded structure. It finishes long and slightly saline
Winemaking Process: The fruit was hand picked, and destemmed before a cold maceration for 12 hours. Fermentated in stainless steel vats, it is then barrel aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. During this period, it undergoes 5 months of batonnage to create creamy texture & body
Succulent stonefruit with a citrus backbone characterises these wines. Typically, they have notes of tropical fruit, and come from warmer climates. A touch of oak during the winemaking process also helps to give some softness to the wine.
Expect notes of peach, apricot, pineapples, melon & a buttery texture
