Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from Alsace, France. The plots are located on blue schist soils from Villé.
Taste Profile: A lovely golden colour, with complex notes of exotic fruits, pineapple, mango, minerals and white flowers. Its powerful texture lends the wine a long finish, at once saline and pleasantly sour.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are pressed for about 8 hours. Then they are vinified in big traditional Alsatian casks and ferment with natural yeasts
A lot of the wines in this category comes generally come from higher altitude or cooler climate regions, and often have bright acidity, balanced with fruitiness that cam come with or without some level of sweetness.
They general have perfumed floral, honeyed & spice notes. For fuller bodied styles, they often have an oiliness to them
