Domaine des Vignes du Maynes Piquette NV
The farmhand's wine — leftover Pinot Noir and Gamay skins rehydrated with spring water and left to referment, the way vineyard workers have quenched their thirst in Burgundy for centuries.
Grape Varietals & Region: Pinot Noir and Gamay pomace — skins, seeds and stems — from Domaine des Vignes du Maynes' own harvest in Mâcon-Cruzille, southern Burgundy, grown on the property's pink granite and limestone soils.
Taste Profile: Low-alcohol, spritzy and tart, with bright red-berry fruit and a refreshing, almost kombucha-like snap — built to be drunk cold and fast, not contemplated.
Winemaking Process: Pomace left over from the domaine's main red ferments is rehydrated with spring water and left to referment on the residual sugars and skins, then bottled while still active so it carries its own natural spritz. No sulfur, no additions.
Winemaker: Julien Guillot farms Domaine des Vignes du Maynes' vines — among the oldest continuously organic-farmed vineyards in France, under vine since the 10th century — biodynamically, making his own composts and preparations on-site. Piquette is his nod to the domaine's farmhand history: nothing here goes to waste.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
