Riesling has always been the leading grape in the old vines of Karlsberg.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the old vineyards of Karlsberg and Johannesberg, in Austria's Wachau. The site's ripeness and precise interplay between acidity and fruit, along with complex aromatics, make this Privat bottling a timeless expression of the vintage's freshness.
Taste Profile: Saturated yellow-green with playful golden reflections. Fine aromatics of wild stone fruit, citrus and hints of tropical fruit and orange blossom. Rich and complex on the palate, multi-layered with great elegance, vibrant acidity and salty minerality. Excellent balance and ageing potential.
Winemaking Process: Entirely healthy, hand-selected grapes with a naturally high acid structure are vinified traditionally with a degree of oxygenation, partly in new 500-litre tonneaux, before careful elevation on the fine lees in the estate's century-old barrel cellars. A limited release.
Winemaker: Hofkellerei des Fürsten von Liechtenstein — literally the "Court Winery of the Prince of Liechtenstein" — makes wine from historic vineyards in Austria's Wachau, including the old vines of Karlsberg and Johannesberg, carrying the name and patronage of the princely house into the glass.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
