A Princely wine cellar founded on Austrian soil, despite the name on the label.
Grape Varietals & Region: Chardonnay from what is probably the best Pinot-family vineyard in Sankt Margarethen, Burgenland, Austria. Its high fossil limestone and quartz content gives the wine great structure and elegance, while nearby Lake Neusiedl reflects sunlight onto the gentle slopes, ensuring this premium Chardonnay ripens at just the right time.
Taste Profile: Fresh, radiant golden-green in colour, with violets, orange zest, slightly smoky notes and dried tropical fruit in the bouquet. Powerful on the palate, carried by freshness and limestone-driven minerality, quite lively, with great length in the finish.
Winemaking Process: Selective hand-harvesting from organically cultivated vineyards, partially spontaneous and very gentle fermentation in 500-litre tonneaux, and careful ageing for a year in the 500-year-old cellars of the Hofkellerei.
Winemaker: The Hofkellerei des Fürsten von Liechtenstein is the Princely Wine Cellar of the Prince of Liechtenstein Foundation, based in the historic cellars of Wilfersdorf in Austria's Weinviertel, with further vineyards in Burgenland — including this wine's Leithaberg fruit — and in Vaduz, Liechtenstein itself. A new generation of winemakers, led by oenologists Natalie Ströhle and Josef Stumvoll, now carries the centuries-old tradition forward, farming biologically and regeneratively to produce precise, terroir-driven wines across the family's Austrian and Alpine estates.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
