The "little brother" of a wine three of Austria's most celebrated winemakers built specifically to go toe-to-toe with Bordeaux.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% autochthonous Blaufränkisch from selected vineyards in Burgenland, Austria, grown on poor slate soils that push the grape toward real elegance. A'kira takes its name from the Burgenland dialect for something like a "joyful outcry," and is the sibling bottling to Arachon T.FX.T — the flagship red blend of Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon created by three friends: Tibor (Illa) Szemes, F.X. Pichler and Manfred Tement, three acclaimed winemakers from three different Austrian regions.
Taste Profile: Pure Blaufränkisch, with a fruity nose of plum and cherry. Very harmonious and easy to drink, with enough versatility to pair across a wide range of dishes.
Winemaking Process: Ages 18 months across 500-litre barrels and large wooden foudres.
Winemaker: Arachon T.FX.T takes its name from Arachon, the old name for the town of Horitschon around 1540, with "T.FX.T" standing for its three founding partners: Tibor Szemes, F.X. Pichler and Manfred Tement. Their shared vision was to prove that native and international grapes grown in Burgenland could rival the great reds of Bordeaux, pooling decades of vineyard and cellar experience into a single joint venture. A'kira is their more approachable, single-varietal expression of that same Blaufränkisch fruit and Burgenland terroir.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
